Glazed Ham and Cheese Croissants

These croissants have a flavorful, sweet and savory glaze and are filled with ham and cheese.
Serves: 9 croissants
Ingredients
  • 9 croissants (I use the large ones from Costco)
  • Ham and cheese for each croissant (I do two slices of black forest ham and two slices of American processed cheese)
  • For glaze:
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp onion flakes or scant ½ tsp onion powder
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Layer ham and cheese in croissants and place on parchment lined baking sheet.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine all of the glaze ingredients, place over medium heat, and bring to a boil, stirring often. Remove from heat and brush/drizzle very generously on top of the croissants. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 min. (Mine were ready in about 20 min)
  4. If making these as appetizers or for a party, use small croissants.
