These croissants have a flavorful, sweet and savory glaze and are filled with ham and cheese.
Serves: 9 croissants
Ingredients
9 croissants (I use the large ones from Costco)
Ham and cheese for each croissant (I do two slices of black forest ham and two slices of American processed cheese)
For glaze:
½ cup butter
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 tsp onion flakes or scant ½ tsp onion powder
⅓ cup brown sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Layer ham and cheese in croissants and place on parchment lined baking sheet.
In a small saucepan, combine all of the glaze ingredients, place over medium heat, and bring to a boil, stirring often. Remove from heat and brush/drizzle very generously on top of the croissants. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 min. (Mine were ready in about 20 min)
If making these as appetizers or for a party, use small croissants.
