Easy and Basic Cappuccino Recipe

While the snow falls and the air is sharp and cold, nothing’s better than a cozy, hot cappuccino. It’s nothing complicated and has only 3 ingredients but the result is a frothy, creamy, dreamy, and delicious drink. The sweetener that I use in this cappuccino (and all other coffee related drinks) is maple syrup. I’m sure you already know from my Iced Coffee Recipe that I just love using maple syrup in these drinks, since it gives them a caramel-ly flavor. This is a favorite for children too, as an occasional treat. I can even get my siblings to behave with giving them this drink. (Now you know how good it is)

Easy and Basic Cappuccino Recipe

This cappuccino is easy and requires only 3 ingredients, but the result is a frothy, cozy drink.
Serves: 1
Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ shot espresso (or 1 shot (1/3 cup strong coffee) if you like it stronger)
  • 1-2 Tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
  1. Heat milk in a small saucepan until steaming.
  2. Pour into blender and blend until frothy. (You can also use an immersion blender or a frothing wand, obviously 🙂
  3. Add espresso and maple syrup and blend until combined. Adjust sweetener as needed. Top with foam when poured into mug and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired. You can also add vanilla or rum extract and top with whipped cream.

Hi Lisa! Really? Do you use something else?

Usually when a baking recipe calls for milk we just replace it with water but I guess that wouldn’t work in this case. We love almond/soy/coconut milk though xD
